Saturday...in the rain, I think I'm going out of my mind!

I am not usually so affected by cabin-fever. I have a quadrillion DVDs to watch, computer shit to do, books/ff to read, laundry, a bedroom to clean, a fine woman and five fuzzy little bastards to snuggle with. But today I wanted to be OUTSIDE!!! :whine: I guess Mother Nature knows best. I still have the remnants of my migraine, but I really wanted to clean out Mrs. CB's car and make sure she had everything she needs before she goes on her trip. I've already offered to pack for her-wait! It's not what you're thinking. I am not that anxious to have the house to myself. While the thought of endless margaritas and lap dances does leave a smile on my face, there are two cold hard truths about her leaving that I need to face: 1) She is sick-very bad sore throat, fever, and the start of a horrible cough and 2) I actually don't sleep well when she's not here-even though, due to my back or her snoring cough, we sleep apart half the time anyway.

We can work on #1-she doesn't have strep, and the doc gave her antibiotics to take with her in case it got worse. She can't NOT go-the school has paid mucho dinero for this seminar and she needs the certification. At least she'll have a few nights of decent sleep with no kitties to wake her at 4:00am. Unfortunately, instead of resting up today, she has to go to graduation. She has promised to come straight home and go to bed, but I know how she is.

Number 2 is more difficult to manage. I worry a lot when she isn't here. I worry about her driving so far by herself. I worry about her safety in some rinky-dink hotel. And I now the sentiment is returned-she'll worry about the house, the boys, and whether or not I am eating something more substantial than nachos. Oh well, what can you expect from an old married couple?

6-6-6 passed us by and no birth announcement from the Oliska camp. Quelle disappointment.

In other news, we got tickets to see The Dixie Chicks when they come to town next month. I'm not worried about this date being canceled- we got okay seats, but not as good as the last time they were here -I didn't get to go as I was gimped up waiting for my FIRST back surgery.

I think we're gonna make up shirts that say "Dixie Chicks in 2008" or "We Support Free (and honest) Speech". There could be demonstrations and I wanna be prepared. So I suppose I should ask you all to start up CB Bail Fund # 27. It's all for a good cause, ya know ;)

I am still getting used to this new ergonomic keyboard and I am finding the strangest typos. Not as bad as the ones I find from using a tiny keyboard at work- resluts is NOT the same as results. Just an FYI.

On a closing note, there are several people on my flist going through breakups, joblessness and just overall depression/life issues. Keep in mind that I'm thinking of you even if I don't get a chance to comment on your posts.

Guess I'll start getting the little woman's stuff packed.Think I should slip in some pr0n for her to watch on the lap top ;) She leaves tomorrow for Indiana and will be back Thurs evening. Four lonely nights for us both, four nights of eating junk food for me :)
