Hey ABC and Shonda Rhimes! You all need to take a lesson on how to write two women falling in love from CBS, cause they are rocking it big time.

I'm just getting into the "Otalia" storyline on Guiding Light. Olivia Spencer, heart transplant patient? Does she need a new doc, cause Erica Hahn is floating around somewhere. I need a crossover fic STAT, people!

And just a mere 13 hours and 30 minutes until Alex returns to SVU....not like I'm counting it down or anything.

And finally, I love Sheldon on BBT. Nuff said.

Heh, I think you can add All My Children to that list as well.

While I'm enjoying the Olivia/Natalia fic, I'm having a hard time getting into the show because.. well, I *hate* the lighting! HATE IT! But, I'm pretty sure I'll get over it. I started watching and I didn't realize Olivia was quite so.. boobalicious!

The lighting is a result of their severe budget cuts, I think. It has taken some time to get used to this style of production. Still beats the hell out of a glossy looking but shittily (is that a word?) written Hahn/Callie story.

i think i'm the only one who actually likes the style of filming. i mainly watch the show on cbs.com so i do realize it looks completely different on a regular television.

i guess i just like that it really feels more intimate. there's some really great shots of olivia in her hosptial bed during her whole transplant stuff and you just could not get the same initimacy with 3 cameras and a jib...you just couldn't.

anyway...happy flist people are finally watching! :)

While I agree on the style of filming. I think it looks more naturalistic and less claustrophobic than soaps that use studios only. But the lighting *shudders*, imo, they could do better even with the budgetary restraints.

Yeah, I knew it was because of budget cuts and I'd rather CBS do that with their soap lineup than cut soaps all together. It's just.. yeah.. takes some getting used to, even though I still think it looks like *crap*!

And I do get some schadenfreude-type glee at watching all the lesbians fans jump ship from All My Children and onto Guiding Light! Bitter? Who me?
