“What did you just say?” Liz asked, her steely eyes locked on the arrogant attorney in front of her.
“You heard me. A promotion to Bureau Chief based on merit alone? Not with your conviction rate. Was it Nora? Oh god, please tell me it wasn’t Schiff.”
“Your mouth is inevitably going to cause you trouble, Alex,” Liz answered as she pushed the blonde back to her knees and resumed her position on the desk.
“But, let’s see if that mouth can’t at least get you a bigger office.
