A sigh of relief

Thank yous to everyone for their well wishes regarding my stepmom's surgery. Kisses for you all! I just got the word that all she required was a lumpectomy and the removal of one suspicious lymph node. The node was, thankfully, benign. She is home already and resting and will begin a round of radiation thereapy soon. Again, thanks for the kind thoughts. I don't think there is a more generous, compassionate soul on this earth other than Bette and I wish you could all know her. She is one of the "special" people this world needs a whole lot more of.

And in other news, I received a "Token" at work today which was a notecard from my boss telling me what a positive addition I am to the team and thanking me for extra things I've done the last couple weeks. I also received 2 movie passes. Clerks II, anyone? Such a refreshing change to have your efforts recognized. Teh HellLab who?

And it is starting to storm like hell. And I LOVE it!

I'm so glad that the surgery went well and it wasn't too serious. I'm at camp right now, so I'm trying to check the LJ whenever I get a chance!

It's great to hear that things are improving for your stepmom. I hope the radiation therapy helps further improve her condition. She sounds like a wonderful person.
