Someone save me!!!

Day 1 of my convalescence and I am already bored out of my skull. Only 41 days to go. I am getting some reading in with a great series by Jeffrey Deaver (thanks for the req, [livejournal.com profile] heathers. I want to write but I am so bored I can't concentrate. Stoopid back!

Isn't that the worst? Now when I'm busy with work and such I keep thinking, "gee it would be nice to stay home for a week or two cuddled in bed with nothing but TV, movies, books, and the Internet." But then I remember when I was stuck in bed (hit by a car) I got really really bored within a couple of days and I wanted to go back to work or go outside or something.

I'll work on thinking of some books or movies or something to recommend. Lord knows I've read enough/seen enough of them. Maybe you could just invite over some strippers to dance for you?

You could probably spend all day clicking around on LJ and finding fascinating, maddening, mindnumbing conversations! It's too bad there's no really long, really good SVU fic.

Not sure what your tastes are, but have you ever read any David Sedaris? His autobiographical books and essays are hilarious.

Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery, CB!

Oh, are you reading the Lincoln Ryhme series? Those are some of my favorites, be sure to read them in order. Deaver's "A Maiden's Grave" is very good too if you haven't read it.
Feel better and hey, by the time you read this, it'll be only 40 days to go right?

(PS I'm a random person from the SVU fandom)
