No Nader in 2004!!

Yes! The Board of Elections of the Great State of Ohio has said that Ralph Nader will NOT be on Ohio's presidential ballot this year. Suck on that W!

Now...if we can just get that pesky proposed State constitutional amendment banning gay marriage to be invalidated as well.

Hooray! After listening to NPR yesterday, I was getting ready to pack my bags and move to Ohio. Or convince [livejournal.com profile] heathers to register in Ohio instead of Oregon. 'Cause all it's going to take is one extra lesbian here or there to tip the scales our way.

Guess this means we'll be seeing more Dick and Bush in Ohio for the next 5 weeks.

We have so much stuff on the ballot...including a city-wide smoking ban. A veddy interrrresting few weeks coming up.

He's not on Illinois' ballot either. At least, he's not on the absentee ballot, and I can only assume that means he's not on the regular ballot as well.

Okay, so why is Nader bad? He's not a Republican...

You aren't ignorant...unless you are one of my parents...Mom...is that you?

Democrats believe that a vote for Nader is actually a vote for Bush. The Republicans have never won the White House without carrying Ohio. With Nader off the ballot (although it is being appealed), the Dems stand a better chance of pulling in the independant and/or un-decided votes.

If Nader hadn't been on the Florida ballot in 2000, this would be a completely different race.

Please keep in mind that this is simply my opinion and does not refelct the opinions of LJ or any of my f-list. Although it should ;)

Ah, so for the Democrats, it's "you're either for me or against me" kinda deal. Too bad. I was gonna vote Nader. Now I'll have to vote the Republican ticket. :D

Just kidding, just kidding. [[ducks for fear of angry Democrats]]

Vote your heart dear, vote your heart. Be glad that we live in a place where you don't really have to fear an opposing party.
