Date Night!
Last night, Mrs CB and I had a date night. We called it an early birthday celebration (my bday is in 5 weeks)because she got concert tickets for me as a gift. We started out at Hyde Park grill downtown where we had one of the best meals that didn't include dessert in forever!
Mrs CB's meal began with the Jumbo Crab Cakes served with a red pepper aioli and a grainy mustard sauce while I had Beefsteak Tomato and Sweet Onion Salad with Blue Cheese. Both were absolutley delicious. For an entree, she had "Steak Griffin", a filet with a cabernet sauce, and I had the "Steak Tressel" (yeah, they name their steaks after football people in Central Ohio)- a 14 oz NY strip grilled to perfection and topped with sauteed mushrooms and garlic cloves. I had the best date breath in the world!!! Add some fresh steamed broccoli, and soome great wine and we were in heaven. And for us to be too full to attempt dessert...shameful, really.
After dinner we headed to the gorgeous Ohio Theater to see David Gray in concert. Wow! He was phenomenal. I use a lot of his music in my fan vids and to see some of these songs performed live was such an experience. That dude has CRAZY energy and stage presence. We had such a great time!
And for those not familiar with his work, here are 3 of my vids that feature his songs. I hope you enjoy his music as much as we do:
And becasue I couldn't get them to embed:

He was an exceptional musician, quite a showman! I did mention that his electric keyboard player was a bit unsettling. He was almost robotic, like Max Headroom from the 80's. I mean on at least two songs he was off-key and I was like "Dude, can't you hear that you are off-key?"
The total package- lights, music- was outstanding. We had a wonderful evening.

Can tell you guys are old. Or just totally into celebrating. Next year you'll be marking your bday on Groundhog Day. Glad you had a good time...you & Mr. Gray seem to be quite the creative match!
No food p0rn? Oh well, it sounds delicious enough I have no problems picturing it in my head.
