Summer series, had me a bla-ast...

Been cleaning off the DVR this week. Thank god I decided to get that thing-I am catching a lot of decent programs that I would have otherwise missed. Want to hear about them? Of course you do...

1. Rizzoli & Isles- I don't think I have seen a pairing so femslashtastic in years! Love the idea of the show, but Rizzoli reminds me a little too much of a certain teary inspector, and that wound has never quite healed. Like many have said, Isles reminds me a little too much of "Bones", but I do see some variances on the "I play better with dead people" thing. LOVE the supporting cast. Too bad they couldn't let Joe Montagna go from Criminal Minds to play Papa Rizzoli, cause at least then he'd be off Criminal Minds... Gonna keep watching. This is a DVR must for me, until they screw it up.

2. Eureka- So much love for this show, through the ups and downs, insides and outsides. baltar is a nice addition, just not sure how he is gonna work out. And for the love of positrons, put Carter and Alison together already!! They are my current fave het ship.

3. Warehouse 13- YUM!!! Helena Wells as a lovely villaness...so sexy. The show seems a little lighter so far this season. Myka seems way more coomfortable-maybe because of the healing between her and her father. Claudia and Leena need to get in on. Love the mystery with Mrs Fredericks and the Reageants. And then there is Artie....scruffy love abounds.

4. Persons Unknown- we just watched the first 2 eps and we are hooked. I know that KmcC joins soon, so I am anxious to see her in a different role. Love the mystery of the show and hope it doesn't crap out before we learn what is happening.

5. Pretty Little Liars- Interesting show. I like these short mystery shows. Unfortunately, I was accidentally spoiled, so my interest is waning. And Chad Lowe is just freaky y'all.

Along with these regular shows, I am gonna try to catch up a few older ones this summer: Being Human, Teh Good Wife, Hex, and some others. Got a non-reality based show you ythink I'd like? Lemme know in the comments.
ext_22444: Aisha Tyler and Milla Jovovich. No wonder there's steam. (Lesbian In Bed)

I'm catching up on the Good Wife, and... let me just warn you? Clear your schedule. It's 23 episodes and you'll pretty much just raze through them. There's one or two that aren't as good as the others, but you'll get hooked. It is SO not a show I thought I'd like at all. But I'm 17 episodes in and fearing the day when I run out. ;-D

I feel the same about Eureka. On paper, I don't feel like it's anything special. But if you give it a chance and watch it for a while, it's just love. The stuck-in-the-middle-with-AU aspect is a little freaky, but I'm interested to see how it plays out.

And yes, Rizzoli and Isles is the gayest thing since rainbows. I can see how Isles might be compared to Bones, but she doesn't irritate me NEARLY as much as Bones does. Bones just seemed like a moron savant, and smug. Maura doesn't strike me that way. Maura is just... naive. I don't know if you've seen episode 2, but yeah, she's adorkable. ;-D

I sort of want to pimp Party Down to you, but I'm not sure it'd be your cup of tea. It's a comedy about party caterers in LA that aired for 20 episodes on Starz before it was cruelly cancelled. Lots of Veronica Mars references (the team leader is Vinnie Van Lowe, the sufer boy is Dick Casablancas, the show creator is Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell pops her adorable head in the door twice, and Enrico Colantoni appears in the pilot). So it might be worth a glance just for the VMars love. ;-D

As you know, I'm already shipping R&I. Dude. I've already read all the fic I can find, so I guess I have to start writing some. I do wonder what Little Miss Conservative would think about her show getting so much gay love...

R&I is set to become "must Gay TV" lol.

I quite like Covert Affairs (USA) and Memphis Beat (TNT, I think...)

The former is a spy drama with Piper Perabo, and the latter is a cop show set in Memphis with Alfre Woodard as the unit's lieutenant.

I have enjoyed watching the shows a lot!
