That is the Olivia I became enamored with all those years ago. Smoking hot leather, shorter, darker hair replacing the Ponytail of Youth Recaupturing, and the return of the swagger. If only the writing was better.

So Benson was suspended for a while. Wonder who she spent that time off with? Elliot is back with Kathy and Kathleen is the biggest brat ever. Embarrassed because fellow students see her picking up trash as her Community Service? Get the hell over it! Where is Maureen when you need her? Un-beLIEVable!

Munch, you sneaky bastard :) Loved how all the other members of the squad gave hom crap and refused to follow his orders. That happened at Teh HellLab quite a lot. And no intro explaining why Lake was part of the squad or did that happen in the finale last year. Maybe he was covering for Liv while she was suspended.

Cragen, aw man. A good dad always takes the heat when their kids screw up. Glad to see he returned rather quickly. And Munch got out of the uniform.

Casey Drew solves the case- WITH a magnifying glass. And Sunshine* chokes a bitch! Badley.Saw through the MP ruse rather quickley, I mean how did the "shrink" know Janice's sister's name when she had just said she never knew she had a sister. That's when I knew she was faking.

All in all, a normal ep, nothing outstanding. At least Liv looks better.

*points to anyone who gets this reference.

It says it all that we'll take this pale incarnation of Butchy McFabulous over the one that's been hoisted upon us the last three years.

It also says something that for the first time in eight years, I completely forgot about the premiere episode.

Add me to those not convinced about the return of Butchy. There was something about Olivia that was giving off a kind of matronly vibe last night. I'm not sure that the hair and the leather can change the O!liska wearing them. But, it's a start. I shall be cautiously hopeful.

Man, I do still miss me some Season 1-4 Liv.

She's getting back to her former self but not quite there yet. I fear she may have been irreversibly contaminated. NOOOOOO!!!

Of course when somene says "Casey lovers look away" I CAN'T look away. But "Casey Drew" makes me want to write crack fic...which I won't do.

Live does look better. I do love the hair...probably because it's the hair I had a couple of years ago...and I have a big ego. It does actually look better on her than the super super short do did.
