Day Off!!

Hello darlings,

Mrs. CB had the day off from school, so I took the day off as well. We started our day with breakfast at Bob Evans, followed by a delightful trip to Homo Depot. I need to build an exercise bench like I used at the PT place because it is too hard for me to try and get up off the floor-shut it! So I grabbed a bunch of wood and screws and well, let's all hope for the best. We also searched high and low for salt and a new shovel-no luck. I did grab a metal lawn edger and when we got home, I was able to use it to break up the ice on our front walk so Mrs. CB could shovel- 3-4" thick, people!

I made a breakthrough with my story last night and plan to start pounding it out today. Then I have to kick some Literati ass, but first, dear flisters, some pics:

Our house in the grips of Snow and Ice's fury.

Our prettay, prettay tree-bushes.

OMG! Something is living in our snow! And eating our catsCorn! Smokey thinks it's a meerkat...he's hooked on that show.

And speaking of Smokey...lazy bastard.

Bruin gets busted...again!

Artie is frantically trying to get the wee robin in the holly bush through double-paned windows.

and finally:

All hail, Cleo-fat-tra!

Asher was hiding, so I used his pic in my icon.

Off to try and find my glasses...again.

Great pics of the boys!

I will not hide CB's glasses, again.
I will not hide CB's glasses, again.

The sunshine is great, but caused her spectacles to fog up upon entering the warm abode. She left them by the window and some big, fat cat knocked them off.

Aw, those beautiful furry bastards!

Shouldn't you be hiring strapping local amazons to dig you out, and not tax Mrs. CB so?

Hey, I helped! I broke up the ice with my muscles of steel (attached to my spinal column of mush) and she shoveled it away. And, and...I bought her breakfast too!

Those boys are something else. Thank god we had them to snuggle with the last few weeks or we may have frozen to death.

I was lucky to get the wood to the basement. I'll start working on it Wed, when the Mrs is teaching her night class. I am writing tonight, we are going out to pig out for Mardi Gras tomorrow and Wed, well Lent begins then and I will have to be on my best behaviour.
