Thank god!

Just got the call-

not malignant. The complete path report showed it is a major fibroid tumor. She will see specialists next week to determine treatment.

Thank you all again for your prayers and positive thoughts.

fibroids can be a pain (figuratively and literally) but thankfully are never malignant (at least according to my doctor)

I'd be interested in hearing how her doctors are planning on handling it - I went through an embolization for a 16cm fibroid a few years back...

Excellent!! I know two women with major fibroid problems; it's painful, and unpleasant, and often requires repeated surgeries to keep under control, but the prognosis for survival is 100% and that's what matters.
