More Useless Information

I can't believe that I am still sick. I would appreciate it if all virus particles within my bio-system would leave the premises immediately. I have holiday wine to enjoy, dammit!

My OSU women's bball team is kicking ass. They are 10-1 and ranked 7/10 in the nation. I hope that this will help increase attendance, but not necessarily in the seats next to me. I need my space, yo!

We had the first of five holiday gatherings yesterday with the In-Laws. We drove up toward the lake in freezing, windy weather. Who knew an inch of snow could make a six-inch drift?! Had a nice visit, nice meal, and then exchanged gifts. My better half makes a personal gift every year for our families. This year it was individually decorated birdhouses. She is pretty damn good with painting designs and such. I primed them, then stayed the hell out of her way. :pats self on back:

Mrs CB completed her Masters Degree in Education(Curriculum Development) and to celebrate the fact that she has absolutely nothing to do for the next 2 weeks, I bought her Maureen O'Hara's autobiography and a few DVDs. Now I have to write out instructions for her on how to use the DVD player. That's my girl :)

I went down to the basement to hit the gym and noticed that George W. Bush's face is plastered on the heavy/kick bag. Heh heh.

Oh...and it's fucking cold here! It was -1 degree F when I went to work at 4:30 this morning. Bullshit! I ain't going out if it ain't above 20 degrees out.

Uh, I feel your pain with the cold. I live in fing Minnesota. This morning we had an ice storm and it took me 35 minutes to navigate my THREE MILE commute to work. So, I was in a GREAT mood this morning. On the plus side, a bunch of people I don't like didn't make it into the office today, so they can't make it worse. And I spent a good hour catching up on lj comments from [livejournal.com profile] bluepoet and [livejournal.com profile] normalone, who appear to not have work to do at their jobs. Heh.

I live 17 miles from work...and the highway crews are usually just getting started when I hit the road.
