Weekend Update
Aug. 6th, 2006 03:12 pmHello everyone! This as been an adventurous weekend at Casa Cabenson and I don't mean that Mrs. CB decided to do the cooking. After an exhausting week courtesy of Mother Nature's hot flashes, we celebrated the slight break in temps by going to see
artskat and friends perform "Love's Labours Lost" in Schiller Park. The play was set in the late 60's and was just marvy! The musical interludes were great songs from that era and really, just the opportunity to see
artskat dancing on stage...I wish I had taken a camera.
Yestersay, we got up bright and early to it...The Ohio State Fair! We had a great time, but the sun was damn hot so we only stayed a couple hours. We were good with our food consumption as well: I had a taco, corn dog, and corn fritters and Mrs. CB had a pork sammich. And Iced Tea was our drink of choice. Now I have often raved about the wonders of the Ohio State Fair and this year I made sure to take my camera so I could capture what all of you are missing out on. And so I present:

Holy spandex, Batman! The Original Batcopter

Ka-Pow! Up close and personal.

Giant Cow Boobies

Nice!

VERY nice!

The 2006 Butter Cow!

This butter scuplture is a tribute to the Cleveland Browns and the Cincy Bengals. I bet they both melt down before the season is half over.

Boobies!

and more boobies!

The Ohio State Fair made out of Legos.

Downtown Columbus made out of Legos.

Mmmm...multiple boobies

take home boobies
And yeah, that was our trip to the fair for 2006 ;)
Last night, I watched "Ghost" aka "The Return of Alexandra Cabot". Damn but I miss the good old days.
Today we are juggling books, cd's and dvd's to their new places on cleaned out bookshelves. Tacos and margaritas for dinner and then I need to do some reading. I have decided to do a HoYay Hall of Fame for Sam and Janet so I wanna get started on it before I get sucked into another fandom.
Mrs. CB will be leaving on Thursday for a 4-day trip to Chicago. Whatever will I do with all that freedom?
