I lost my temper at work today...twice...and it felt fanfuckingtastic! It has been a really long time since I did that...more than a year. I was still threatening people when I left. Nothing major, just blowing off steam over the raging ineptitude that seems to be the primary job requirement for anyone hired after 2001. I am gonna pray very hard that the fucking place burns down tonight...only killing a certain department. I swear that place wouldn't be half bad to work in if half the Admin people were replaced with robots. At least robots are programmed to be logical.

I am thinking about making a series of icons featuring Helen Stewart trying to get some action. And not just with Nikki (BodyBag anyone?) I need to work on my fic tonight which is good because I also need to drink.

I am making spaghetti for dinner. With garlic bread. Jealous? Good.

I am starting to get my writing buzz back so I made a drabble comm for Bad Girls, the_pottingshed

There is really nothing quite like spending a national holiday playing with other people's shit. Literally. Got done in 7.5 hours but I actually paced myself. My back is keeeelling me and I am trying to decide between Lortab and Cuervo for relief.

Went to the Greek Festival Yesterday with Mrs. CB and artskat and D. Imagine my disappointment when I was informed that no, Xena the Warrior Princess was not there. I have decided that outside of baklava and gyros, I don't care so much for Greek Food. I do love Teh Ouzo but I was a good little gimpy dyke and refrained from alcohol yesterday. I did get a Greek pastry sampler and hid it in the back of the fridge where Mrs. CB can't reach because her pygmy arms are too short.

We went to Union Station and cooled off from the sun while waiting for ShowTunes to start. Stayed long enough to see a clip from WICKED then we decided to leave. Mrs CB and I went home and watched a few more eps of Bad Girls...I'm telling you people, this show is GOOD! I wish BBCA would air it.

Bruin met me at the door when I came home full of complaints about his brothers and short mama. Poor little boy wants the windows open but this mama hates to sweat.

I can't find the words I want to talk about Katrina. And I hope Pat Robertson is happy. Asshole.

I now have an official excuse for laying in bed and watching DVD's and/or reading fanfic this fall. Ship Manifesto on Helen/Nikki from Bad Girls is due Dec.1.

but I have a new TV girlfriend. Taking my PT's advise to rest my back this weekend, I laid my fat ass in bed and watched Series 1 & 2 of Bad Girls. You all need to see this show.Corruption, bullying, rape, drugs...and that's just the guards. I mean it. Put it on your NetFlix queue or go to Blockbuster and rent it now! Now I say! Women's prison, well written drama, hot lead actresses, did I mention women's prison? Simone Lahbib is my new TV girlfriend. Or, at least, my new Scottish TV girlfriend.

Lahbib portrays Helen Stewart, the Governing Governor of G-Wing in HRM Larkhall Prison. Nikki Wade, acted beautifully by Mandana Jones, is an out lesbian "lifer" who falls in love with, and gradually wins the heart of, Helen Stewart(see icon). I really have a thing for women who are authority figures. And I ain't ashamed to admit it.

Series One is currently available in the US while Series 1-6 are available in the UK (thank you, DVD DeCrypter). The show just wrapped Series 7. While Helen and Nikki are only in Series 13, I plan to watch all of the seasons. The characters are so intriguing that I just need to see what happens to them next.

After a welcome thunderstorm, Mrs. CB and I headed to Schiller Park to watch a production of She Stoops to Conquer. It was a nice evening and we enjoyed the show a great deal. During intermission, Mrs. CB made the mistake of offering to switch places with my best buddy which would allow B and me to sit together during the final act. I don't know what it is, but twelve year old school boys behave better than the two of us. By the end of the performance I had wagered that I could indeed seduce the very humorous but extremely het and religious girl that played Pimple. Too bad the girl didn't come to the bar afterwards, I was on my game ;)

We followed the show with a visit to Club Diversity. Now, I know the name says "Diversity", but it's a queer bar people. We have so few decent gay bars in town and I don't understand why all the het couples have to come and take our seats when there are numerous mainstream bars across the street. We were forced to sit outside where we quietly plotted to overtake a tented gazebo with rain-dampened seats. We were partially victorious in that we took half of the gazebo and still managed enough room for all 8-10 of us. I ran into one of the night managers from Teh HellLab and we caught up on gossip and other things. This is the guy who came out about the same time I did. We had joked at the timie that if we were both single at 35, we would have a child together...kid would have had GREAT gay hair. It's always nice talking with him when he is drinking because I get information I probably shouldn't have. I didn't really need to know that a former supervisor (from about 12 yrs ago) has a huge dick. Thanks T for burning that into my soul.

Today is a day of rest and after getting our groceries (Red Bull YAY!) I have been instructed to rest my back as it is pretty sore. B gave me a copy of the first season of Bad Girls and I might watch some of it. I have downloaded all but 1.08 and 1.10 of BSG but I wanna watch that with the wife as she is getting into it as well. Ask us to do something on a Friday night? Hell to the No, we's got shows to watch.

I need to go get Bruin off the entertainment center. Mrs. CB isn't tall enough ;)
