Here's a new music vid set to one of my favorite "oldies".  This is Sam Carter/Janet Fraiser from Stargate:SG-1 -even if you don't watch the show, give the vid a look to see if it might be something you COULD get interested in. I haven't seen this much HoYay! since the good old SVU days.../le sigh.

I've never been convinced that these two characters shared any subtext, but on viewing this I've started to question that belief. This was beautiful and rather touching.

Thanks! Mrs. CB was surprised at the "looks" Janet always seemed to give Sam. Damn I'd like to write another ship manifesto on these two but someone else beat me to it ;)

I avoided this fandom like the plague and then BOOM! I was sucked in. They are adorable. And the subtext leads to the question of just who chased whom?

If you're going to get sucked into a fandom, one with lots of HoYay seems to be a good one (although, really *is* there a fandom without tons of HoYay?)

Thanks! I had a different ending with a scene from last season's "Ripple Effect", but this seemed to amp up the angst and that was what I was going for. One SG vid down, 2 or 3 to go.

(I knew a woman once who was maybe 5', she was cute, I had a thing for her. I met her sister, who was like, 4'8", and I was like, "yowza". I had had no idea that shortness was a turn-on)

Ah .. you need to do that manifesto .. or the fall of fame. I never really picked on the subtext here before, but those were some looks Janet threw at Sam. Didn't I read someplace that the actresses did play it up a bit?

This is terrific! You have really honed your video editing skills. I had just finished watching it, M walks into the room and says: "What's the matter, you look sad."
:sniff:: "Cabenson's video... did one of the female characters die on Stargate?"
::looking at screen:: "I don't know but the video must be pretty good if you're sad over characters you've never seen before/"

Thanks, I'll probably do the HoYay Hall of Fame. And I did hear that AT and TR played it up a little but they kinda did with all the characters. You could pair anyone with anyone in that show and it would appear believable.

Well, thank you! I'm trying to do more with the music, lyrics and actual scenes than just slapping some clips together with a song. That's why it takes SO DAMN LONG!! to get one done.

Glad you like this vid....they are a great subtextual pairing and Teryl Rothery (the shorter one) reminds me of Lahboob!
