And now...time for Weekend Update
Oct. 23rd, 2005 08:51 pmShort weekend, for me anyway. Worked Friday and to be quite honest, neither Mrs. CB nor I can remember what we did Friday night. I know we stayed home and I had wine, but shit, we can't even remember what we had for dinner. Aging sucks. But wine is good :)
I made Loaded Baked Potato soup yesterday and it was fucking excellent. Sourdough bread and Spanish red wine, a Buckeyes thrashing of Indiana, and a little TV completed the day.
Today we ran our errands and managed time to include an argument over speed bumps vs. my back and breakfast at a new cafe by Graceland. The Halloween candy has been purchased and sampled. The Halloween costumes have been determined and we just need to grab a few accessories. Party at
artskat's place on Friday night but I have to get through Thursday's doctor appointment first.
Found some sweet travel deals to NYC over the holidays. I would love to be there for New Years...I don't know why, I hate crowds. But it's always been a dream of mine. Maybe we can work something out.
I researched 38 out of 39 eps of Bad Girls and I'll be ready to start actually writing my Ship Manifesto when I am off later this week. Be nice for my beta to have something to read when she gets out of rehab. Gonna be different writing about a maintext relationship instead of a subtextual one. Oh, Alex and Olivia, I do miss the glory days.
I am off Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sun. Plan to write the first draft of my essay, decorate for Halloween, carve pumpkins, party with friends, and hopefully celebrate good news. Trick-or-treat is Monday night (31st) and we are looking forward to seeing all the little bastards out, running through our yards and dressed as the killer from Scream- cause originality doesn't count anymore. Just candy intake.

Date: 2005-10-24 04:08 am (UTC)I am excited to read the manifesto. I started watching season 2 again yesterday. I would have started with 1 but Val and Mary still have it. They have become big fans as well.
New Years Eve in NYC sounds like a blast. I usually stay home NYE because there are too many crazy out on the strip and the local news stations set up cameras down there anyways. No need to go get trampled on or to sit and watch the drunks climb stop light poles and fall off. Four people died last NYE from that. Maybe you can spend the night at Mariska's. I hear anyone that sees the light on is welcome for the weekend. You can party with her, Hillary Swank, Chad Lowe, Peter, and Kelly. :)

Date: 2005-10-24 06:42 pm (UTC)I already called Mariska...told her I was coming to NYC and planning to get lost. I asked for her address so I could sit on the curb outside her house, you know, so she can rescue me. She told me to leave room for Stephanie March as well :)
