As feared, the patched levees have failed and there is flooding again in NO.

I just received an email from Daddy#3 saying that he and his wife are leaving Texas for the weekend and we shouldn't worry. No word on where my half-bro and sis will be. They all live in the D/FW area so they should be okay, but I will still be worried.

I went out drinking with [livejournal.com profile] artskat last night and had a blast, as usual. I spent the latter part of the evening doing my Helen Stewart impressions which are only good when I am bordering shit-faced.. "I said sit down in that chair!" I am seriously damaged.

Having chili dogs with onions and a Pepsi for lunch before heading out to PT. I need to stop at the store to buy stuff for [livejournal.com profile] theholyinnocent's big cyber bday bash my few days as a tv-a-thonning bachelor.

I leave you all with a big BUUUUUURRRRRPPPPP!

ummm yum... onion burps are my favorite.

Houston is gonna look like an Olympic style pool when Rita finally moves out. I lived through lots of floods in Houston. The bayous there tend to spill over at the sight of rain. I hope they are also taking care to move the livestock and pets out of harms way.

I'll be doing my last big bang drinking next week, or as my friend calls it "The Top of the Hill Party" cause from then on its all downhill :(

I don't know how they are going to clean up NO enough to where it is safe for people to live. I was watching CNN or MSNBC, (can't remember which), last week. They were interviewing a scientist that had tested the soil in areas where the flood waters had been drained. He said the soil was so toxic that there was no way that it could be clean enough for inhabitants. He was talking about they couldn't just scrape the top 2 ft of soil and replace it with clean stuff because NO is below sea level and the toxins would just leak into the new soil. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't trust any government agency to tell me that it was safe to live there. You know, cuz they are so truthful and all.
