1. battlestar galactica:
   Having grown up watching the original, I was drawn to this show by simple curiosity. I think it is the best "drama that takes place in space" and I seriouly love the Kara/Roslin/Arrow of Apollo OT3.
2. comedy:
   Comedy keeps me alive. When I am laughing, things are good even when they aren't. I always wanted to do stand up but I am much too big a pussy. But go out drinking with me....oh yeah.
3. film:
   I have enjoyed films since I was a wee child. Growing up in my house, it was a necessity. There was no such thing as cable back then so I watched a lot of oldies. Fell for Barbara Stanwyck when I was but seven years old.
4. jay and silent bob:
   What is not to enjoy about a long-haired, foul-mouthed stoner yelling, "Snootchie Boochie, muthafucka" or "Respect the C.L.I.T"?

5. mariska hargitay:
   I likes 'em dark and dyky. Not so much these past 2 years but she is good snark fodder.
6. nikki wade:
   A wonderfully complicated character who is half of my International OTP. She reminds me of me except I have green eyes and gray hair..
7. pinot noir:
   Mr. Pinot I have missed you. What do you mean it's only been a few hours?
   
   Pinot noir is my fave red and I prefer Oregon labels. I love the richness of the color and the way it tastes with chocolate or a big, juicy stake. Pinot also helps me write. And makes my lips purple.
8. simone lahbib:
   Have you seen this woman's boobs? Holy-rackilicious! Simone portrays Helen Stewart (the other half of my IOTP) in Bad Girls and I am totally in love with her even though she is MUCH shorter than me. A rich Scottish accent, big broad smile and beautiful green eyes...hell, judge for yourself.
   
   
   
9. wine:
   I love wine and it sometimes loves me. I started drinking wine at the ripe old age of 8 when I would sneak tastes of the Taylor Port that my parents always received at the holidays. And can you imagine my delight when they started serving wine (albeit as the Blood of Christ) at Mass? Ah...good times. I stopped till my teen years and got into wine again when I realized I hate the taste of beer. I went through the blushes, then the white (fyi, Chardonnay and I are still split up)and then about 10 yrs ago, my mom gave me a glass of Beaujolais (only about 13 weeks people)and I was lost to the reds. When I hooked up with Mrs. CB we became snobs and stopped buying the $3.99 bottles. Now I buy $7.99 bottles...I am so sophisticated.
10. xena:
    Xena...what can I say? My buddy Artskat held me captive at her house one Thanksgiving weekend and FORCED me to watch this beautiful, amazonian creature. I was hooked (I have an addictive personality). I watched religiously but did not engage in the online fandom as I was computerless and computer-illiterate. I've really grown these past 5 years.
    
    I do have a MASSIVE Xena collection (including Xena checks which I still can't find)that will go to my oldest niece (she worships me...as she should)when I die unless I have to sell it for medicinal marijuana.

CB's affliction has reared it's contagious little head in my household too! I just and won an ebay auction (yes, absurd) for BG series 2 and 3 uncut (N/H only in series 2 and 3). I am burning a DVD and sending to CB as she describes her copies are "wobbly" (she really is becoming a Brit). Would be glad to send a copy to you as well if you like.

Thanks dude! But admittedly, this amazonian BG addict just purchased series 1-6 from amazon.uk as well as the region 1 series 1...had a little pocket money I was saving for something special. Thank god for dvd shrink and dvd decrypter which allows me to convert to region 1. My friend also got the very rare book which I just finished as part of my ship manifesto research,

You Brits have the best damn shows...I see a possible trip being planned. I did an SVU tour of NYC, I can do a Bad Girls tour of the UK :)

If you keep watching the eps, I think you will both enjoy the storyline. You probably already know that BG was the first UK mainstream network series to feature two gay women as the lead protagonists. If it does catch on at your house, CB can hook you up with the subsequent series- she ordered the DVDs through S6!
