Merry Day after Christmas, Bitches!*
Dec. 26th, 2005 10:13 amMrs. CB and I drove about 205 miles in thick-ass fog yesterday-not fun for nervous passenger such as myself. We did, however, have a nice holiday with all of my family(ies). Way too much sugar-based foodage returned with us and I know that I have to eat something besides cookies and fudge today, but I don't wanna.
Mrs. CB was thrilled with the watch I gave her and I was surprised with flannel moose pants and a copy of Wicked:The Grimmerie. I am such a fag when it comes to musicals. And after we realized we couldn't go to NYC during winter break, Mrs. CB ordered Christmas in New York: A Pop-Up Book", and it should be coming soon.
It's wonderful that after all these years, my family and friends still get me books for Christmas and my birthday. They may not be the classics or on the list of "100 Books everyone should read," but from the time I could string words into sentences, I have adored reading, and they encourage that. I thank God that both of my parents were bookworms and passed it on to all of us. After all, they could have been crack-heads (did they even have crack in the 70's?)
And before I take off to read my new Ken Follett mystery, I leave you with the words that have been running through my head for the last few days, as found on
slcadet's journal. click here. And as a friendly warning, don't break into this song while engaging in carnal activities-it really blows the mood.
