What a week. Mr. Allergy Man, uh, could you do me a ginormous favor and just fade out already? I am tired of sneezing and snotting. Really! Bastard.

I took a beginners Excel class today and was surprised at how quickly I caught on. I signed up for the Advanced class next month. Oh, and on my way to work this morning, I saw one of my co-workers (who only lives a few blocks away)walking across the street. I honked at her and she looked back at me like she was gonna jump on my car til I rolled down the window, showed her who it was and offered her some candy a ride. She was on her way to catch the bus, so I made a 40 minute trip for her into a 15 minute one-with no extra walking to the bus stop. We decided that when I do nice things like that I am actually hoping that it will negate some of the evil things I am thinking of doing. And I'm thinking of some bad things RIGHT now ;)

Mrs. CB and I went out to dinner last night at our favorite wine and tapas bar. I tried a new Pinot and I admit that I chose it not based on it's delicate mixture of aromatics, but simply on it's name: Innocent Bystander, an Autralian vino. It was DAMN TASTY! as my three empty glasses (and hefty-assed bar tab) showed.

After dinner, we mosied over to the Topiary gardens at the Deaf School Park. Mrs. CB didn't approve of my suggested improvements which included lopping a couple of the topiary heads off and planting them on the ground-it would look fabu for Halloween! So she dragged me out of a potential misdemeanor charge and escorted me to a showing of [livejournal.com profile] artskat's Puppet Queers. Oh! My! GOD!! Those X-rated filthy bastards were wonderful! And the house was almost packed...on a WEDNESDAY night!! We are returning on Saturday for their final show and I'll be recording it. I told Artie that I plan to pimp her all over the country like I did with Bad Girls last year.

I want to make a video of the cats so all of you can see what kind of cute, hairy bastards we have to put up with all the time. Bruin actually snuggled up against my back on Monday when I was sent home with a massive migraine. What a good little nurse-kitty.

And speaking of videos, I am pleased to announce the launching of my fnfic/videos website:
Casa Cabenson:CB's House of Hoyay. It currently houses both my SVU and BG Ship Manifestos, some of my SVU and BG fic as well as my BG and Stargate:SG-1 vids. A very special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] eclecticfan for putting it together for me, and [livejournal.com profile] sparklebunny for the gorgeous graphics. If you're bored, head on over and take a look.

NEW YORK -- The Yankees' 27-year affiliation with the Columbus Clippers appears to be coming to an end.
According to a report in The Columbus Dispatch on Thursday, the Yankees will not renew their deal with the Clippers, who have served as New York's Triple-A affiliate since 1979.

Yankees spokesman Ben Tuliebitz said that the team had no comment on the report, though a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed that the Yankees would be moving their Triple-A team out of Columbus in 2007.

Columbus Baseball Team Inc., which has until Sept. 30 to sign with another big-league organization, is set to begin negotiations with available teams Saturday. According to the newspaper, the Mets, Nationals and Orioles are the only teams currently without Triple-A affiliates.

"I can guarantee there will be baseball in Columbus next season," Clippers president Ken Schnacke told the Dispatch.

The report indicated that Yankees general manager Brian Cashman is looking to move the Triple-A team closer to New York, with Scranton, Pa. -- which is approximately 120 miles west of New York City -- representing a possible destination.

The Phillies' Triple-A team has been in Scranton since 1989, but the Dispatch reports that Philadelphia allowed its contract to lapse, opening the door for another team to move in.

Wonder what we're gonna do with that new stadium they are buildig downtown if we don't get signed with another franchise? And dudes, what about "Dime-A-Dog" Night? Softball games could be played there the next time raw sewage takes over Greenlawn Park, I suppose.
