I'd like to dedicate this post to the skeezy person who sneezed on me in the CVS last month and gave me their flu. I spent 10/14 days in bed (missing 5 days of work) with a raging fever and the rest of the time going to work then coming home and going to bed. I lost about 10 lbs! and I thank you for it.

During my illness/recovery (still ongoing, thank you asthma!)I did keep myself entertained with all of the Facts of Life Month goodies. I may not have had the energy to comment on all of them, but I really enjoyed reconnecting with a show that was so pivotal in my teen development. I always wanted to be a combination of Jo and Blair-tough and RICH!!! Instead, I think I turned out more like Natalie/Mrs. G- big hooters and a little shaky when I talk/walk.

I have started working on my first ever contribution to the Femslash Advent Calendar ( A/O music vid) and my A/O story for Ralst's 5000 which is going to be much shorter than I had hoped due to being so damned sick.. I have this epic A/O that I want to write, I just can't seem to find the time. I am going to attempt NaNoWriMo next month and get it done, but I can make no promises.

In other fandom news, well I have slept through much of the new season. I am keeping up with SVU, Bionic Woman, SG:A, and WMC. Heroes is recorded to watch when I have time and LaO:CI when I remember when and where it's airing.

Halloween prep is in full swing. Mrs. CB and I shall be representing characters from one of the fandoms I mentioned above. Anyone care to guess? I bought several "craft" pumpkins to carve this year instead of real ones. These will get my fave patterns so I can pull them out every year. I have an oldies movie version of Frankenstein at work. I think I am doing the puppet from "Saw" for my friend's party-she just presented a paper on the series at some university conference in Kansas.

Other news, let's see. Mrs. CB rocks-she just presented her data collection thingy at Miami Universe (OH) and she takes excellent care of me and the boys. Artie is back to the ornery/affectionate cat he was over a year ago, before we started his shots. If your cat needs steroids, talk to the vet about depro medrol and undetected heart conditions. Ask for prednisone instead. I am just amazed at how long our little guy was getting sick and we didn't realize it. He does look quite fashionable in his single Kitty Ugg Boot:
.
His grandma is coming in two weeks to see him.The other boys are doing great and enjoying the cool weather with wide open windows!

I have a ton of work to do if I ever want to catch up with the last few weeks. I have a roast in the crock pot, bil sto pay, a birthday card that is ONLY a month late to send, take Mrs. CB out for HER birthday, plan our NYC trip for NYE...and breathe.

I leave you with my favorite reasons for watching Angie Harmon in "Women's Murder Club":
