(no subject)

Last night, Mrs. CB and I went to a party at artskat 's house. She directed the current show in our "Shakespeare in the Park" series and was having a joint July 4th/Cast party. It was a lovely evening (minus the mosquitos) and the food was delicious. Her partner barbeques's better than Bobby Flay. We sat outside around the fire pit and caught up with people we haven't seen in a while. I have been really bad about staying home instead of going out with friends. Between my back being out and the utter fatigue I have been experiencing, I just don't want to do anything. But I made an effort and had a good time. Too bad I had to leave early because I had to work today.

To my surprise, I had a few beers last night- the Miller with the lime and salt. They were pretty good and I don't really care for beer. I even suggested to the wife that we should pick up a twelve pack.

Mrs. CB and I were also able to show how awesome our gag gift kung fu is by tricking Artskat. We have this little candle warmer thingy that one of us won at karaoke a couple years ago and have been re-gifiting it to each other on various occasions. The last one was when I came home from having my birthday brunch with Arts and her partner to find this bag on my front porch. The wife and I decided then to wrap it up as a gift from the cast of this play and leave it for Arts to find during the cast party. I was already home when Mrs. CB snuck it into the party, but Arts fell for it hook, line and sinker and the damn thing s out of our house for a while-probably until Mrs. CB's bday in October.

Good times, people.
