It would appear that I have fallen into a drabble series hereafter known as:
HARLOTS OF HUDSON PLACE
1.
“Hey, Carmichael,” Olivia said as she slid into the booth after Alex. “Where’s the girlfriend?”
“Sandy was called back to DC for a new case,” Abbie answered, the practiced lie slipping effortlessly from her lips.
Olivia let out a small chuckle, “Sorry about your luck. Funny how that seems to happen every time the four of us have plans. Think she’s ashamed of us, Alex?”
Alex looked at her lover and smiled. She turned her gaze to the brunette attorney, blue eyes locking with onyx . “I think Sandy is incredibly supportive of Abbie and cherishes the times they are together.”
Abbie smiled as the waitress appeared to take their order. She hoped that Olivia never figured out that Sandy was short for Alexandra.
2.The repeated lingering looks between the two attorneys failed to escape Olivia’s attention as the conversation turned toward case law.
You can’t hide your lyin’ eyes
She stared into her drink as she ran the names through her mind, Alex, Abbie, Sandy, Sandra…Alexandra. An unrestrained “Son of a bitch” betrayed her rage as Alex and Abbie turned their attention toward her.
“Liv, honey, are you okay?” Alex asked, a nervous grin forming at the corner of her mouth.
And your smile is a thin disguise
Olivia, struggling to contain her fury, looked pointedly at the blonde before settling her angry gaze on Abbie.
“How long have you been fucking my girlfriend?”
3.“Outside, Detective?” Abbie challenged.
“Hell yes!” Olivia sneered, following the brunette.
“Liv, please, don’t---,”
“Not another word, Alex!” Olivia raged, walking out the side door.
The summer heat steamed off the asphalt distracting the detective. Catching Olivia off guard, Abbie pinned her against the building. Their eyes locked in a steely dance as Abbie leaned her body into the brunette. A sultry grin replaced her scowl as she saw the smile form on Olivia’s face. She feverishly pressed her mouth to the detective’s.
“It’s about time I got you alone, Benson,” she growled, descending down Olivia’s neck. “I’ve missed you.”
“Maybe if you’d leave Alex alone…” Olivia murmured, returning Abbie’s kiss.
“We’ll work it out, I promise.”
“We’ll work what out, Abbie? Olivia?” Alex asked glaring at the brunettes.
