Yeah, I might be joining you. This country is totally overrated! Too many koalas for a start. Mind you, we are doing a good job of killing them off, but still. But maybe not anywhere with a preponderance for peanut butter. I think I might need to start my own country (oh, wait), and just people it with service staff for my lifestyle. Thoughts?

Still... I have to say I'm not ready to live in London (got a job offer recently and made the firm decision not to) because it's a bit miserable. But you... I'm slightly worried you're gonna end up flat-sharing with Peter Beattie in North Carolina. Oh Peter Beattie would LOVE those bacon and peanut butter burgers, and he's a good cook, so he may well be your perfect man! Except he's Peter Beattie.

Well it's that thing. You go to, say, North Carolina and you're treated like royalty, and then you go back to work and you are shat on and exhausted as well, plus you have that never-ending cold you caught on the fucking airbus. Fuck the koalas, cute they be, I'd like to live in your country, perhaps do some kind of stupid activity classifying exercise on your service staff to get my kicks (I can't remember the name of that stupid thing, you know what I mean). If I had a perfect man, he might as well be Peter Beattie as any other, since men remain so completely disinteresting, especially the never-ending stream of men I have to deal with at work, it really wouldn't matter which one it was. Apologies to all the lovely men I know but frankly in some environments they are statistically insignificant. Yes, I had one of "those" long meetings this week with a roomful of men in competitive suits vying for who the fuck knows what.

It was when you suggested that we ' fuck the koalas' that I knew that something had gone pear-shaped! Yes, I think we just need to be in our own Institute, not our own country. Believe me, I'm working on the Institute thing. I get increasingly frightened, sickened is probably more like it, by men in suits.

Cabby has a beautiful birthday fast approaching and I say we address the maladies of our filthy work lives with some cake!!!!!!!
