Wow! It's been like forever since I updated this thing. Been thinking about it, but just haven't had a chance to sit down and form a coherent post. Not sure how great this one will be ;)

It has been 2 months since I found out I was allergic to a bunch of foods and removed them from my diet. I really thought the doc was full of shit, but you know what? I really feel better. A LOT better! Of course, I have a summer cold right now that, due to a breathing issue borders on pneumonia, but yeah, I feel better than I have in a couple years. I still can't type for shit...

So, the Third Annual International Day of Femslash is but a week away and I have nothing ready to go. I am listening to music (Suggestions???)in hopes of getting inspiration for a new video, but fandom just doesn't hold my interests as much these days. What are the newest things in femslash world, aside from Legend of the Seeker? I am thinking about re-visiting Xena just for fun. I'm sure something will grab hold of me, like Bad Girls and Otalia did, but foe now, I'm just kinda floating around.

So, enough about me. What is happening with all of you wonderful peeps these days? Tell me something good, something bad, something naughty...

Speaking of naughty, I have a 3-day weekend next week with NO MRS CB!!! WHatever shall I do? I am thinking a drunk chat is in order.

ext_22444: Aisha Tyler and Milla Jovovich. No wonder there's steam. (Rizzoli & Isles Bed)

New would be Rizzoli & Isles. Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander as a cop and ME (respectively) who are friends. I've only seen one preview clip, but it's a clip where they wash a puppy together in the morgue sink. So I'm hopeful. Also, this icon.

eta: Just so you don't go digging... R&I doesn't premiere until this coming Monday. :)

I've heard great things about The Good Wife, and I've started watching the pilot. It's good, but the canonically bisexual character is probably the best thing about it. So that's a plus. :D I think TGW would be a good show for you to explore.

Okay, hm... good bad and naughty...

Good: I became the first male author to win a GCLS Award for best novel ("Gemini") and I was a finalist in another category for "World on Fire." I got my shiny trophy on my desk and everything.
Bad: My brother and father continue to plateau in terms of... well, humanity? They haven't gotten worse, but it's bad enough that they're still as bad as they are.
Naughty: I've been writing a LOT of weird, kinky stuff for the SGA Kink Meme. Including one story I'm kind of squicked by, so I didn't put my name on it. ~g~

Hi! Glad to hear you are feeling so much better. Illness is icky - to say the least. Nice to find out causes that you can do something about.

I feel like I'm floating a little, too. I just found "Bad Girls" about 6 weeks ago, but my obsession is wearing a little thin now. Great show, just not enough of it, especially compared to Otalia. Can't even find a lot of fic, which is surprising.

I am enjoying this week's vBlog from Venice. Love all the BTS pics and tweets. Quite fun to see it come together. Sounds like it'll be awesome. Unfortunately, again, just not enough material and too much time to wait.

Need something now. Maybe I'll watch the most recent Alex eps on SVU - but not expecting much. What a waste.

Drunk chat? Oh come on, you can do better than that... and I want photos at *how* you do better than that! It better involve wearing lampshades and cooky sunglasses! Okay, maybe not, but... photos!!! You need something to be blackmailed with!

Can't help on the Femslash. I've been reading a lot of hetero fan fiction now... which is very odd, cos the last time I did this I actually did identify as hetero (which means I must have been under 30, golly I've been reading fanfic for a while eh?). The main femslash that I read is UK based, so again not much help (though not Bad Girls, cos I've actually never seen the series!). Ah... hard stuff, hard stuff... usually sci fi delivers, but there isn't much going at the moment. I vote for Xena... I've never really read any Xena FF because it always felt like a pervy sort of a thing to do when I was working on it, but I think we have distance!! I should read some. I know it's around... will check it out.

The thing I love about FF is that it sort of is my dirty little secret... nobody I know in real life (well except for people on here that I know in real life) know that I read it, actually most of them wouldn't have a clue what it is. I confess I'm fascinated by how it is never discussed in pop culture really... of course its because you can't sell it, make money off it, how cynical but I think that's why the media is uninterested in it! Fascinating stuff.. can't wait to read it... will you post here?!?

After all of that, I just realised you're talking videos, not fiction... hmm that's hard. Partly because its so much easier to leave canon aside with videos, because of the editing potential and the real reconstruction of characters. Wow... really have to think on that.
