cabensonMrs. CB picked me up after work yesterday and we went to see Sexy Eye Doc so I could order my new glasses. After a lengthy try-them-on period (during which Mrs. CB rejected every pair I had predicted she would reject), we finally picked out a pair of gun-metal retro half-frames that look pretty damn good. And funky too, which is what Sexy Eye Doc thought I would choose. See ya next year, SED.
After paying (OMFG!!) for specs, we went to dinner at Figlios. Mrs CB had Shrimp in Vodka Sauce with Penne Pasta and I had a delicious Chicken and Mushroom Raviolo in a mushroom-wine sauce. Really put the hurt on Chef Boy-ar-dee, lemme tell ya. We had a delicious Spanish red wine, 2003 Juan Gil. I have never had a Spanish red before and it was smooth and very flavorful. Mrs. CB ended her meal with Tiramasu while I had Chocolate Mousse. Plans were made to go home, watch a movie and just enjoy a quiet, romantic evening together. Oh, and to drink more wine.
We get home and I go to rest my back which had been causing me enough pain that I had to take pain meds. This was about 7:00pm last night. I woke up at 8:30 this morning. So much for a romantic evening, huh. Mrs. CB says there is hope for tonight. Me, Mrs. CB, 5 cats, Heartless and a bottle or two of wine. So don't call me, or else :)
Oh, and thank you OSU Buckeyes for getting your heads out of your asses and beating Michigan State.
