Friday Drinking Post
Jun. 15th, 2007 07:25 pmMrs. CB and I finally got around to going out for my bday dinner after work today, (only 2 months late) and we picked a little wine bistro in the trendy area we USED to roam before we became responsible home-owners. While drinking a delightful 2005 New Zealand Pinot Noir (Amisfield, if I recall correctly)I somehow found myself being asked the following question:
Mrs. CB: So what is Sam Carter's rank now?
Me: Lt. Col...in my pants.
Mrs. CB: Don't you mean "of" my pants?
Me: I love that you dig my shows. And my bitches.
We had a wonderful dinner followed by a "flight of chocolate" for dessert. Chocolate creme brulee (to!die!for!!), a chocolate torte, which Mrs. CB scarfed, and a wee baby mousse mouse which I described as tasting rather "moussey". You figure it out.
We talked about places we would like to visit next year and hold on to your hats New Yorkers, Mrs. CB wants to return in November...possibly with MamaCB in tow. Next spring break will be Santa Fe with a trip to Vancouver sometime within the next 18 months.
I have been ordered to remain indoors on Sunday as the temps are supposed to reach 97 degrees F...for Fucking hot! I will be busy planning Mrs. CB and her mother's trip to DC in August, during which I will remain home with the children. I also need to finish a vid.
I did my weigh in and measurements for my PT program: Since I started on May 10th, I have lost 12 lbs, 1 1/2" in my belly, 1" each in my boobs, thighs, and hips. I am turning this muffin top into a Wheat Thin if it kills me! Or, considering cellulite, a Triscuit.
It's only 7:25 pm and I'm ready for bed. We have a big day planned for tomorrow- workout, clean up, arts fest take 2, groceries, and clean the house in preparation for the sibling offspring invasion in 2 weeks.
I'mma gonna go open another bottle of Mr. Pinot.
