cabensonMy sister, 2 nephews (19 and 11) and one of my niececs (16) are on there way from coastal VA to Central Ohio. They will be staying with us for a couple days then heading up to see my mom. Please say a prayer that no one kills anyone!
Mrs CB and I used this visit as a reason to FINALLY purge the basement. Tossed a ton of shit, donated a ton more. Yesterday, we put out the old flip-out couch from my bachelor days. Dusty and wine-stained, that couch brought back a ton of memories. I can remember hot, sticky summers in an unairconditioned apartment, with just me, Blue (my sweet lil girl, RIP)chips and dip for dinner, cheap red wine, The X-Files and Xena on video cassettes. Good times people, good times!
Makes me really appreciate our house and all of the effort we have both put into it to make it a home.
Gotta get back to work so I can finish up and leave a little early. Obama is in town, just a few streets over from work and he is supposed to be leaving just about the same time as me. As this is my Friday (until Saturday when I start 6 days in a row), I don't want to deal with rolling road blocks.
