First, a little Irish Blessing to start off your day: May the wind at your back always be your own. And if you are drinking draft beer today, that shouldn't be a problem ;)

What was youe best/worst/or most interesting experience celebrating St. Patick's Day?

My answer: About ten years ago I went out with a friend and we drowned our sorrows over our most recent dating accidents with multiple pitchers of green beer. My pal left and I went to sit at the bar where green beer after green beer began appearing in front of me. I looked down at the other end of the bar to find this chick smiling at me. Oh dear! CB had never had anyone buy her drinks before. And definitely not a girl who resembled a life-size version of a troll doll-complete with green hair standing on end. (yes, I AM shallow) I told the gal thanks for the beers, but no thanks for anything else and we proceeded to get blitzed while scoping chicks. I went home (smart gals take CABS when they go a'drinking) with all of my money, a box of pizza and four phone numbers :) Woke up the next morning sicker than death and proceeded to puke...on Blue, my beloved cat. Haven't had a green beer since, but I plan to have at least one today. Problem is, I HATE BEER!

Well, St. Patrick's Day is my grandmother's birthday, and I've been trying not to think about it since she died 4 years ago.I guess the first one after her death (when I was 17) was the hardest because I always saw her on March 17 and I spent the day that year at school trying not to cry while people asked me why I wasn't wearing green and pinched me and crap. I was wearing a sweater she gave me. Also, we're Scottish, so we never really bothered with it.

But this year, I marched in the NYC St Patrick's Day parade, the really huge one. And it was fun.
