People on my flist have been posting the Guilty Pleasures meme this week which got me thinking:

What is your "guilty pleasure web-site"? A web-site, other than LJ, that you just can't stay away from no matter how hard you try. One that you MUST visit daily, if not hourly. Please include a link to the site (if possible)


My answer: The Data Lounge, a gay gossip site with the most outrageous, bitchy, and extremely addictive forums evah! The only bad thing is that the forums have "prime time" hours which locks out anyone who hasn't paid a $12 fee...which I have done because, like I said, I'm addicted. Politics, entertainment celebs, sports figures-no one is safe.

Right now, I'm pretty into the Dyke Squad, which I read as a syndicated feed. As a seeker of news and interesting things local, I also usually read the Chicago Tribune and the Customer Alerts at the CTA website. Kinda dorky, but I don't have any one gossip rag I consistantly read.

I'm beginning to get addicted to Datalounge, though I have to wait until midnight to see anything on it. They are so deliciously bitchy, and you come away thinking that no one is straight. Though Im getting a bit bored with the Jakey threads. And also so many about MH. I never really thought she might be gay until I read the stuff at DL. The funny thing is to see the same old wankers there .. Katrose and Rob.

Data Lounge for me as well. I spent the $12 because I couldn't stand not being able to get on when I wanted.

I don't understand what happened to all the MH threads. They are locked now.

Robotics forums. Especially now, during competition season, when we are trying to find out good shooters, dumpers, autonomous, and defensive bots that we might face later on. I've been checking the Regionals threads trying to finish up the spreadsheet of good bots. Also interesting to see which teams are trash-talking us/worshipping us.

They're little spotlight quotes are fun to read, too.

Mine is youtube. It's like the fanfiction.net of videos!! Like 98% of the stuff posted is complete crap but where else can you see David Hasselhoff's Hooked on a Feeling or the even more ear-splittingly atrocious Limbo Dance!!! Alongside everyone and their brother's webcam music video.
