March Madness, Indeed!
Mar. 3rd, 2006 02:45 pmToday marks the start of "March Madness" in more ways than one.
1. Conviction starts tonight- this jury will remain in deliberation until it receives more evidence...after the first 2-3 eps, Stephanie March allegedly gets more screen time.
2. The Big Ten Women's basketball Tourney is underway. OSU just beat Penn State-PSU has had it's first losing season in 33 years. Maybe Rene shouldn't have "dismissed" so many players last year. Just saying. Anyway, my gals are looking great. Big tourney starts in 2 weeks. It's funny how I am so interested in college B-Ball when I never played-not even in grade school.
3. I just got my hair cut shorter than I have had it in 23 years. My white "stripes" are even more noticeable. grey is sexy, bitches ;)I plan to cut it super short when I leave the lab. If I don't like it, I'll just stay inside. When Mrs, CB asks if I found a job, I'll just tell her that I couldn't go look for work cause my hair is too short.
4. As per usual, March has funky weather and it is incredibly cold out. This wreaks havoc on my back and, well, lets just say it's been a very rough week. Back on the anti-inflams as soon as the mailman brings them-stupid mandatory mail service.
5. I have a H/N story to write and I have no ideas. And I just agreed to finish "Progression" as part of
ralst's P&P anniversary thingy.
6. I may have the possibility of transferring to another department instead of out-and-out quitting. A few days ago, I talked to my old boss (who stepped down to a team lead position) about being a professional reference for me. She agreed. Yesterday, she came into my little work area, wrapped her arm around me and said she didn't want me to go-she had tears in her eyes. And did I mention she wrapped her arm around me? And that she has been my work crush for 15 years? Didn't work though, I ain't staying in that department.
7. My gal shall be home soon and I am making one of her favorite meals-Tuna Noodle Casserole. I don't go to church, but I still do the no meat thing during Lent. And I gave up men again this year. Never have any trouble sticking to that one ;)

oh yeah, and also gave up men again this year ~:) so far, so good
I'm hoping my beautiful wife will want to watch Conviction with me tonight. When we watched the commercial last night, she looked at me and asked, "I thought you didn't like blonds?"
I just looked at her, what could I say... I don't, except for SM.
Hope the weather levels off soon and your back stops hurting.

Date: 2006-03-04 10:42 pm (UTC)Her hair is beautiful, and all mine.
She is cheering as much as she should for basketball. No more. It feels like we are having January in March here. My arthritis is acting up as well.
CB and I did a little walk around the Home and Garden Show today. Now she has to rest.
