Since we are in the middle of cold and flu season, and because I am suffering from foggy head, what is your never-fails cold/flu remedy?

My answer: Jack Daniels, fresh lemon juice and honey...mix it together, heat it up, then slam it down. May not have any actual medicinal value, but a few of them sure makes you forget you're sick.

Lots of hot tea, usually of the green or white variety, with generous dollops of honey.

I'm with holy on this. Tea is awesome. I also devour zinc and vitamin C.

Constant Comment , regular or green, is my drink of choice right now. And honey is like a cure-all. Gotta cold? Drink tea with honey. Overindulge on New Year's Eve? Take twoteaspoons of honey and some water before bed=no hangover. Hiccups? Pour honey down your piehole. Honey..is teh bomb.

Chamomile (I use the flowers, not the bland tea bag a la Lipton) lemon, honey.

The Jack Daniels remedy sounds great in theory, but I dont know if I could deal with it while sick. I'll try that next time (hopefully, a long time from now)

not really.
once i'm sick, nothing really helps. it usually lasts a week and then a week or so more to get rid of the rivers of snot and regain my strength.

I like good old fashioned Thera-Flu. It tastes disgusting, but it works like a charm.

(It's good for a hangover too)

I don't get sick very often at all.

But when I do, I like lots of hot tea and sleep. Sleep is good.

I'm down with the hot tea. Nothing feels better than a hot cuppa tea. I'd usually use that to chase vitamin C and echinacea... oh and some dayquil to get through the day.

Tea is a marvelous thing. When I was sick a few weeks ago, I was indulging in "Tension Tamer Extra" from Celestial Seasonings. Soothing and knocked me on my ass, which at the time is what I needed.

Get rest darling!!! Feel better!
