Meme me once, meme me twice...
Jan. 9th, 2006 05:38 pmAs instructed by, and with thanks, to those listed here.
1. What is your favorite fanfic Story and why?
Hmmm...My fave Bad Girls fic is Private Sessions-a spoiler-filled story that is just a beautiful analysis of Helen Stewart. My fave SVU fanfic? Too many to pic just one.
2. If you were invited to a pot luck, what would you bring?
My home-made scalloped potatoes. I've gotten marriage proposals, that's how good they are.
3. You're planning a long weekend (4 nights?) and have a budget of $1500.
Make it 3 nights and it would be a jaunt to The Big Apple.
4. Disney World, Vegas, San Diego, NYC?
NYC in a heart beat.
5. Food allergy?
No actual allergies, but I avoid cilantro, parsley, artificial smoke flavoring, artificial sweeteners, and certain aged cheese because they are migraine triggers. And green olives cause of that night last summer when vodka and I first broke up...
6. Do you have a famous, interesting, or otherwise notable person amongst the branches of your family tree?
Rumor has it that we can trace my grandmother's family back to John Rolfe, who married Pocahontas (and re-christened her Rebecca...bet she hated it too)
7. Origami or batik?
I used to be able to make a paper balloon and those cool paper fortune-teller things, so I choose origami.
8. What is the most unusual thing you have ever done in pursuit of a romantic relationship with someone?
I did plan a trip to NYC around finding Alex Cabot's apartment...does that count? Otherwise, to be honest, I've never really pursued anyone. I take that back. In gradeschool, I used to chase the boys I thought were cute around the playground and tackle them until I was threatened with expulsion. I was in 2nd grade.
9. List the names of five deceased people you would have wanted to meet and why.
FIVE?! Lemme see:
John Lennon-so I could ask him about his music
Karen Carpenter- so I could try to talk her into eating a sandwich-what a damn waste
Mama Cass- so I could tell her NOT to eat that sandwich
Madame Marie Curie- so I could give her a lead-lined lab coat
and
Xena: Warrior Princess- so I spy on her and Gabby getting busy.
10. The best meal you ever ate. Describe it. Was it a special occasion? Was it homemade or eaten out? Details, people. Details.
Fast food take-out the night we moved into our house was THE BEST. Going out- our last trip to NYC where we met a couple on-line friends at Asshat's Mesa Grill. I had a NY strip that was out of this world and Mrs. CB had some kinda fish (I didn't pay attention because I hate most seafood). A fantastic $65 bottle of Pinot and a dessert sampler. It was just great being on vaca and spending it getting to know some new friends.
11. What's the worst date you have ever had? Where? When? Who? Why?
My highschool prom. We kinda decided to go together at the last minute. I was already 4 inches taller than him and had to wear flats and we just pretty much ignored each other at post-prom.
12. Where's the strangest place that you have ever engaged in sexual shenanigans?
Ohio State Fairgrounds- but not when the fair was in progress. That was a fun night ;)
13. Do you believe in God? A higher power? Something greater than yourself?
Without a doubt. Humans are too arrogant and stupid to be in charge.
14. Imagine your personal Hell. Name the five people who would populate it, thus making it your own personal Hell.
Two of the people I work with, my friend's husband, my sister, Shy Bobby
15. Ten Million (dollars, pounds, Euros) is offered to you to betray either your spouse/partner, or your country. Which do you choose to betray? (yes, I am guessing you pick one *g*)
If I were a Brit, I'd betray my spouse, telling them to "Think of England",. I would betray my spouse-betraying my country would hurt millions, betraying her would be a "Needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" type of thing. Then I would spend most of the money making it up to her.
16. Name one thing about you that would surprise your f-list.
While I don't have much faith in organized religion, I do have a strong religious faith. I don't go to church and I never preach...I think the relationship between a person and their god (s)can be private and that others shuld respect that.
17. What is your favorite movie quote?
Fargo- "And I guess that was your accomplice in the woodchipper." I think of this every time I see a woodchipper.
18. Name three people on you "to do" list.
Simone Lahbib, Stephanie March and Alicia Coppola
19. How much of the real you is in what you post?
95% the real deal. The other 5% is saved for Mrs. CB.
20. Where's the fifty dollars you owe me, bitch?
Line up at the bar, girls! Shots all around!
21. Which is your favourite toe?
Damn you foot fetishists! None of them.
22. What do you fear the most?
Losing my abililty to communicate and being trapped inside my body/
23. Poetry, music, art or literature?
Music- I have to concentrate too much with the others and music relaxes me like nothing else.
24. You're lying on your deathbed and some mystical force offers you the chance to revisit one moment in your life. What would it be?
The last time I saw my grandmother before she died. I would have made sure she knew how important she was to me.
25. Can you tie a tie?
I have never tried.
