Is it Vacation Yet?

Mrs. CB called our home phone yesterday to leave me a message. Her cell phone wasn't working and would I please fix it when I got home. Because, yes, I can fix just about anything except a presidential election in Ohio.
She had been charging her phone but when she went to use it, it wasn't working. She'd flip it...nada. Now the last time she had a charging malfunction, we ended up with new phones. And I was a little concerned because our power surged and then crashed while she was charging. But deep down inside, my gut was telling me that as much as I love her, Mrs. CB is techno-tarded. That was confirmed when I got home and her phone was , wait for it...turned off. I showed her how to turn it on and now she is again able to call me from anywhere at anytime.
In other news, my back fucking hurts. The cold weather is making my bones ache and I kinda slipped on the hardwood floors because I didn't know Mrs. CB had cleaned them with the orangy stuff. And then I kinda slipped on the ice. I think I need some old man galoshes or something to keep my ass upright this winter. Or maybe a walker. Metallic blue with a basket. And a horn.
I need to go Christmas shopping. There are 12 days until Christmas, and I haven't bought a single thing. I guess Simone is gonna have to deal with her present being late. And in case you were curious, I'd like an inflatable Helen Stewart doll complete with talking action. "SIT IN THAT CHAIR" indeed.
Over break, Mrs. CB and I will be making plans for a trip to NYC in April. Funny how Alex Cabot and Cabenson return to the Big Apple within weeks of each other, innit? Yeah, that TRO expires sooner than you think.
And the mariska.com forum finally imploded and will be closing down soon, but not soon enough.
Oh,because people have asked: The Helen/Nikki Ship Manifesto is about 2/3 of the way done and will be posted no later than Jan 15, 2006. There will be cross-posting galore. And if you are a Bad Girls fan, I urge you to come oVer to

3. I think Mrs. CB and my mom must be related. Loveable, aren't they?

Date: 2005-12-13 11:26 pm (UTC)True love is resisting the urge to kill your lover when they've forgotten to turn the _____ on.
The potting_shed has been a positive hotbed of great fic lately, I don't think I've seen a challenge/remainder generate this much fic in ages (in any fandom). So whatever you're doing, keep doing it.
Oh and I hope your back feels better and Mrs CB remembers to put orangy stuff warnings on the floors next time.

Date: 2005-12-14 01:31 pm (UTC)check out the front page of NYTimes Sunday Arts and Leisure section: 10 new hotels for under $250 and they sound really nice. I just paid $400 for mediocrity! I can't find the online link or I'd send it to you (wait, I can)... nevermind- watch your mail.

HaHa- go! you little marketer! I am allowed 2 pro bono projects in 2006, shall we arrange some focus groups for the_pottingshed?
"Describe your perceptions of Nikki and Helen's sex life... would you describe it as torrid, tiring, fast and speedy... any fruit or vegetable you would use to describe it? What are your perceptions and behaviors with regard to the_pottingshed?..."
