. Asher has social anxiety and hides whenever someone comes to visit. It used to take half a day after the visitors left for him to come back up from the basement, but he is getting better and now resurfaces with 1-2 hours. Yesterday, one of my bestest friends (and old roommate) stopped by with her 4 year old daughter. Asher did his gun-and-run and came back up late afternoon and was back to his normal self. This morning, Mrs CB is reading the paper when she notices that something smells a bit off. Cut to Asher taking a crap on the throw rug. I would think he might be ill (and a trip to the vet will occur this weeke regardless) had a cat not crapped in the spare room the LAST time we had company. I think he is telling us that he prefers the hermitted lifestyle and that we should quit allowing other humans in the house. I am telling HIM that he gets no special birthday tuna and that his actions have punished not only him, but the other cons cats as well. See, I can put Helen Stewart and Nikki Wade into ANY conversation.

In other news, I took for a little walk outside while Mrs. CB was winterizing one of the gardens. He hasn't purred that loud in a long time. has decided that he loves me again and we watched the Yankees beat the Sox. He then took up residence on Mrs. CB's side of the bed and laid by my head while I watched TV. Bruin has always had to "touch" me, whether to make himself feel secure (he was an abandoned kitten) or to lay claim to me. He usually does this by stretching his paw out and putting it on my arm of shoulder. I love it when he does this.

All the boys are getting their winter coats. I think this is gonna be the worst winter we have seen in many years. Geese were flying south at the end of August and squirrels started stockpiling in our garden over Labor day. I expect a massive blizzard and with that thinking, we are planning a list of Blizzard supplies. I wonder how long a case of Mr. Pinot would last. What? It never hurts to be prepared.

Off to get stuff to make beef stew. Mrs CB was just singing a song about how she would never chuck me out because of my cooking skills and ability to de-bug her computer. I think she missed a verse. I'm gonna keep that in mind the next time she wants to get laid ;)

Aww, what a beautiful boy Asher is! We've got one who's that shy, although fortunately without the pooping (so far).

I love the one with the "crown."

Asher is normally a sweety. He just had a burr up his ass that obviously needed to come out on the rug.

And Greyson is wearing his geri-curl cap. he is one stylin' mo-de-fo!

Kitties! Oh, I miss my cats so much. (I can't wait until June rolls around and I can move into a place that allows pets!)

Very pretty cats. :)

Five? Awesome. :) My folks have eight, all-told, but one of them is MY cat (she just lives there) and one or two of the others will be coming with her when I move, because my parents can't stand having eight cats. ^_^;

I would rather have a cat shit on the floor than a 1 year take his shitty diaper off during nap time and proceed to eat half his turds. Then he smears it all over his crib and walls. Yeah, motherhood is grand.

I would kill for a good blizzard this winter. It's still close to 100 degree here. Fucking desert.

How about taking off his diaper, then smearing the poo everywhere, then taking a toy truck and running it through a pile on the floor. mmmm...poop:)

I would just throw the truck out. What's more fun is cleaning the shit out of the baby's mouth, all the while trying not to puke.

OH!!!! CUTE KITTIES!!!!!
About that pinot question- (your post contained two most important topics, cats and alcohol!) think of what you'd think you need, then buy double. Or triple. And if you have trouble finishing it off, invite your flist over and we'll happily help you out! :P

ooooh. Your cats are so gorgeous. Heh. I love it when they watch TV. (I want to do a cat-pic post now).

I have a social-phobic cat as well. Although he's gotten a bit better, he still has a morbid fear of children in any form, and all rationality goes out the window when he even senses they're near. (doorbell are BAD. 4WDs/SUV's - BAD) How can intelligent cats continue to pee inside like he does? silly boy.
Cats are hilarious.

Yikes. Blizzards? I can't imagine having such a 'real' winter. And my aussie state's meant to be the "Ugh-cold!" one.

Asher freaks out if I wear cords or swishy pants/shorts. He is very noise sensitive.

Aww, your kitties are cute. I miss my kitty. :( The closest thing I have to a cat is a ferret *points to user icon*. He's very anti social, to the point where someone other than me who goes near him can expect to leave with puncture marks in their legs, or a missing finger (which is why children are not allowed near him).
