Jewelry was a topic of conversation yesterday and this question came from one of the co-workers I actually enjoy working with:


Do you wear a wedding/engagement/committment/friendship ring from your spouse/partner/sig ot/fuck buddy. Left hand or right hand?

My answer: We wear matching gold/white gold bands on left hand ring finger.

My boyfriend gave me a bracelet- I wear that. I know it's not a ring, but it's kind of our equivalent.

1/20 ct. diamond ring and a narrow gold band on the left hand. (He wears a silver engagement ring and an identical gold wedding band.) It's almost the *only* jewelry I wear, in fact.

Nope. Was engaged to a partner once though. That was three some years ago now. The ring is still on my kitchen table where it apparantly owns a condo.

I'm not sure why I don't just...I dunno - do something with it.

I wear a promise ring on the ring finger of my left hand. It's white gold with tanzenite and diamonds. Love it. :)

Both Nic & I have matching wedding bands (yellow gold and a pounded white gold inlay) and diamond rings. I gave her a ring for our 5th anniversary as a sort of promise ring deal and when marriage was legalized I said I wasn't getting married until she got me an engagement ring. ;) And we both wear both rings on our left hand ring fingers like straight folk. Of course we still get asked if our marriage is "real" but what can you do. Baby steps.

Dude, I'm still waiting for a real boyfriend to come along.....until then I can only dream. (of a platinum band with a half carat stone. ahem)
