There is really nothing quite like spending a national holiday playing with other people's shit. Literally. Got done in 7.5 hours but I actually paced myself. My back is keeeelling me and I am trying to decide between Lortab and Cuervo for relief.

Went to the Greek Festival Yesterday with Mrs. CB and [livejournal.com profile] artskat and D. Imagine my disappointment when I was informed that no, Xena the Warrior Princess was not there. I have decided that outside of baklava and gyros, I don't care so much for Greek Food. I do love Teh Ouzo but I was a good little gimpy dyke and refrained from alcohol yesterday. I did get a Greek pastry sampler and hid it in the back of the fridge where Mrs. CB can't reach because her pygmy arms are too short.

We went to Union Station and cooled off from the sun while waiting for ShowTunes to start. Stayed long enough to see a clip from WICKED then we decided to leave. Mrs CB and I went home and watched a few more eps of Bad Girls...I'm telling you people, this show is GOOD! I wish BBCA would air it.

Bruin met me at the door when I came home full of complaints about his brothers and short mama. Poor little boy wants the windows open but this mama hates to sweat.

I can't find the words I want to talk about Katrina. And I hope Pat Robertson is happy. Asshole.

Yeah, it took longer than it should have for me to get that. You poor thing!

Thank you! I agree. Although, come to think of it, I'm not really even that fond of baklava.

Yay! I gave to that organization through TWoP - it sounded like something different and needed. I'm glad they've raised so much money so far.

I wanted to donate to a group that did NOT have ties to the current government. So I gave there and PetSmart from the cats.

I usually don't have to deal with the poo...just on my work holidays. A nice Chilean Cabernet took those shitty memories away.

Love baklava LOVE it! But I admit, I didn't like it until I was in my 30's. Late bloomer, yo!

Yeah I gave to the Salvation Army. I won't ever give to the Red Cross. When our house burned down when I was a kid, they came to our rescue all right. Gave us food and clothing....but 6 months later they sent us a bill. People don't realize they they require you to pay them back for any assistance they offer. Plus 100% of donations given to the SA go towards helping victims. Most of the RC's donations go for their overhead.
