Movie Night

Mrs. CB wasn't home from school two hours when she decided she was already bored...it's going to be a long summer;) We decided to try and see a movie, not sure how well I would do with sitting up for an extended time. We decided to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith because, quite frankly, I've had quite the hard-on for Angelina Jolie for a couple months now.



Angelina Jolie brings Teh Hott and seeing her in all her outfits makes me want to ask Santa for a life-size AJ doll with accompanying wardrobe. Seriously, words just fail me here. I want her to play Wonder Woman. I do.

Brad Pitt brings Teh Prettay, and he also brings Teh Gay because after seeing him in Troy, all I see when he is on screen with another male, is slash potential. His scenes with Vince Vaughn confirm this.

Stephanie March is the tallest actress on screen WHEN she is on screen. She was in several short scenes but they are packed not only with the Glasses of Power and Justice, but also the Cabot Snark. She was grossly underused, but then again, this was a Brangelina pic.

Kerry Washington just may be on my short little "gimme" list, although I believe I would have to share her with Mrs. CB.

In all, the movie had a nice balance of dark comedy and busy action scenes which is all a movie needs to keep me interested. We were reminded of War of The Roses, but with a much prettier cast.

And how lucky were we? We went to a mid-afternoon showing in one of the 70' screening rooms and had to share it with maybe 20 other people. Everybody else was taking kids to see Shark Boy

Man how hot was Angelina!! I love pretty boy Pitt, actually went to a lot of movies just for the pretty (coughtroycough). This was the first time he paled in comparison to his costar. And in my opinion, SM looked wishy washy next to Jolie (ducks gunfire and lobbed grenades from CB). But the movie was fun .. despite the total absence of plot, logic or sense.

Brunettes are hot. Especially those who fill out the tight dresses, t-shirts and jeans. Jolie is just walking sex. The mind boggles when she talks about curtains.

I almost ripped my newspaper apart today when they only gave it one and a half stars. The combined hotness of Angelina and Brad should give it at least two and a half, if not three! Who cares about plot? Those two are blowing shit up and Vince Vaughn and Stephanie March are in supporting roles? Automatic four stars right there.

Our paper gave it 4 and I was shocked ;) Garth over at Dark Horizons gave it three saying it was a pretty good mindless summer flick, but definitely not a blockbuster. But I totally agree, hotness should definitely overrule the plot.
