Return to work
Jun. 30th, 2005 03:30 pmI received a call today from the Big Boss at work. He was filling me in on the personnel changes (new supervisor...oh my!) and other logistical stuff that has changed since I have been off. The 3rd shift team leader has resigned, and I admit, I am a little tempted to apply. I hate the idea of working nights again, but I will have more control over my own schedule and the money ain't bad. Best of all...a whole new set of bitches to deal with. Anyway, we had a nice convo and he joked about not having anyone to discuss the Tony Awards with. He also assured me they would work with my limitations when I do return. He is a cool guy and one of the few reasons I would want to stay there.
I also got my return to work date: Aug 1st. I hope this therapy allows me to go back stronger than I left.
Had a nasty line of storms come in with cloud-to-ground lightning and penny-sized hail. More trees uprooted by the winds. Calm and rainy now and I am enjoying it immensely. Mrs. CB is off to Kaleidescope (she's a volunteer) and is picking up Chinese on the way home. Yum!

Date: 2005-07-01 02:24 pm (UTC)The position will be a bit more demanding physically, but mentally...it will keep me from being bored. And it will give me "supervisory" experience which I need to move up the food chain.
Only problem is it's nights and I'm not sure I wanna do that again. If the money's worth it, maybe.
