I hate to admit it, but I am looking forward to this.

Also, RIP Anne Bancroft. I loved her work.

The first thing that popped in my mind was poor Mel Brooks, he must be devastated. He loved her so much, it was such a joy to see them both together. I always thought of them as this delicious couple, he so funny, she so classy and dignified. I remember once telling my friend that he looked like he wanted to bite her like she was some delectable apple.
They had the type of relationship that looked so very real.

She'll be greatly missed.

I always enjoy watching the movies they made together, especially To Be or Not To Be

yes but the real question is, when the ship capsizes will the tables and chairs still affixed remain to the floor (ceiling)?

Anne Bancroft was so utterly awesome. Talented and really gorgeous. I got all teary-eyed. Poor Mel. He was a lucky dude.

It's funny, but when she played Mrs. Robinson, the classic "older woman," she was only 36. And I'm older than that now. SO NOT LIKING THIS AGING THING.

Re: The Poseidon Aventure remake. You know they will fuck it up!

I hear you on that. I think my spine is older than both of us combined. And I sure as hell don't liik as good as she did at that age.

Re: The Poseidon Aventure remake. You know they will fuck it up!
Oh, I am counting on it. UPN is supposed to be remaking it/turning it into a series as well. I just wanna know who will take Shelley's part?

I can't think of a thing Anne Bancroft did that I didn't like-- at times, she was the only saving grace to a film. (the Pumpkin Eaters, Great Expectation remake) and speaking of remake...

Can Kurt Russell still pull off a big-budget flick? oh, I see that making a TV network premiere soon after big screen release---
::big booming voice:: "The Poseidon Adventure" sponsored by... Royal Carribean, "Make the most of your vacation" ::logo appears:: and... The Metropolitan Life Insurance Companies ::Snoopy appears:: "Because you just never know how that vacation will turn out."

I wonder what they'll use as the theme song.

If the don't use a funkified version of "There's Got To Be A Morning After", I'll be pissed.

I don't think I've seen any of the others.

Are they your kittens in the icon? They're adorable.

Yes...The "Twins" when they were kittens. They are now 3 years old. This icon is our oldest, Greyson. He's 4.

Awww!! So cute! I should dig up a picture of Cutie (my cat that, for some reason, my brother named..) to show you. Not as cute as the kittens, but she's my girl all the same. Well, my girl with an attitude problem...

yeah, and now I see that they have remade "The War of the Worlds" with Tom Cruise WTF!! it will never top the original with those tricolored eye aliens and the screaming woman. Tommy just needs to fling that closet door open and quit parading in front of cameras with women.

I think all this "Katie" publicity is a defensive manuever. Someone finally has the dirt and Tom can't sue or buy his way out of it.

yeah and poor Katie, the girl is on a rollercoaster publicity ride which will keep her in the limelight till he's done with her too... poor Penelope
