The Monday After Teh Weekend
Jun. 27th, 2005 02:32 pmMrs. CB and I managed to make it to the outdoor concert Friday night despite the melting hot 90+ temps. We picked up some friends that live down the road and borrowed a parking pass from Mrs. CB's ex. I have not seen so many lesbians in such a small area. You could literally put your hand out and a boob would walk into it. Yep, we tried. That is my friend and I. Which is why we aren't allowed to hang together as much. I also searched the crowd for a new short hairstyle. The long curls have to go. Now!
We got a sneak peak at "Betty"-they sang a song a capella...it was great. And the one chick has a huge rack :) The Katie Reider Band played, but they were just too loud for the setting. We were in a parking lot surrounded by brick buildings...not the best acoustics. Melissa Ferrick played last and she was also very good, but we decided we were too old for Teh Loud and headed out. And although we had a parking permit displayed, Mrs CB STILL got a ticket. She is getting a letter and a copy of the permit from the ex and fighting the ticket. Bastiges!
I did not go to the parade as it was too melty out, so I stayed home and rested like a good recuperating patient should. And watched a ton of TV (Mrs. CB was up north with her family). We had a huge storm that knocked out the power but at least it rained. We were on day 13 with no rain and our beautiful yard is now straw.
I went to the Y today and swam 10 LAPS!! I am so fucking tired I can barely keep my eyes open. And I'm sore which is good, because it means I am moving the right parts.
We went to the grocery and I bought 2 pints of Ben and Jerry's...I figure if I have a healthy breakfast and lunch, I can eat ice cream for dinner.
I am done with you for now. Go about your business.
