Teh Long Weekend

cabensonWell, actually, thay are all long weekends right now, but I will be returning to work on August 1st.
Friday I got my haircut. I went from shoulder length to maybe 1 1/2 to 2 inches in the back and on the sides. Because I am top-heavy (uh hum) I need to have her shorten the top so I don't walk around looking like Heat-miser all the time. We were considering going down the road to watch the big fireworks at the soccer stadium, but while I was showering, Mrs. CB slipped and cracked her head on a cabinet. We decided that it would be safer to stay home, in case she wasn't feeling right. She's fine now, just bemoaning her sore and mishapen head.
Saturday we went to a farmers market and then got groceries and ran errands. It was really nice out so I got some reading in. I had peach pie for dinner.
Yesterday we saw War of the Worlds and I really liked it. I even forgot that the main guy on screen was a crazy publicity whore in real life. If Cruise doesn't get an Oscar nod for that, then he never will. I had peach pie for breakfast. And for a late night snack while I watched a doc on how Kevin Smith made Clerks.
Today has been a really lazy day. It got pretty hot and humid, so I cleaned out the baby pool and sat outside soaking up some sun. We started watching the Yankees game and I fell asleep during the 6th and 7th innings. Woke up just in time :) We celebrate Artie's birthday today so the boys got their Fancy Feast. Now we feel loved. Too crappy to grill so I am finishing off the pie for dinner.
