I guess this pain medication is working. I was a lot more mobile today and even ventured outside while Mrs CB was trying to remove some forsythia bushes from the garden.
Me: You know, if you used my little saw and hatchet, you might have an easier time cutting through those roots.
Mrs CB: I don't know if I wanna-
Me: Just pretend they are Republicans.
Mrs: CB Bring me Teh Axe!
After finally getting the roots out of the ground, Mrs CB tells me,
Mrs. CB: You have some rust on this axe.
Me: Naw, baby. That's dried blood walks away whistling the "Lizzie Borden" theme song.
Vicoden is a strange painkiller. While it helps my manage the discomfort, I was hit with nightmare after nightmare last night. The kind where you have to force yourself awake just to make them stop. And I tried to keep myself from going back to sleep. I almost went into the spare room and slept with Mrs CB (who was letting me have the bed to myself so Iwouldn't kick her with my spasms could stretch out) because I was THAT freaked out. Maybe
aqua_blurr can lend her wank to it.
I was dreaming that Mrs. CB and I were watching the stars from our front window when we saw these odd flashing lights in the sky. As the lights grew closer, I could make out 20-30 red emergency vehicles tumbling in the sky, falling closer and closer to the earth. A paramedic truck was on course to hit our bedroom, and the cats were in there. I couldn't run back into the house to save them, and all I could envision was the fiery explosion when the trucks began to land. The truck landed, upright, with it's bumper right at our window. No explosion. I woke up to Bruin trying to bring up a hairball. My take on the dream...besides the drugs? I am reading "102 Minutes" about 9/11...and I don't think I am emotionally ready to tackle it just yet.
And this is not the first time I have had a dream like this. Not long ago, I dreamed that I was at a military base waiting to welcome back a platoon of soldiers from Iraq. All of these families were waving banners and went nuts when the saw the transport plane appear in the air. Suddenly, the plane turned into a large semi-truck and fell to the earth, killing the returning soldiers in front of their families. I really need to quit watching "Air Emergency" and "Seconds to Disaster", huh?
