I apologize for my lapse in posting my questions. The back difficulties have led to work difficulties and to make a long story short, I am off work for an undetermined amount of time.

Because thinking has been a struggle lately (and not just because of the pain meds ;) I am going with an old standard:

You are stranded alone on a deserted island. What three things would make your time there more tolerable?

Hm. I'm assuming that a motorboat isn't an option, in which case: the Library of Congress, a solar-powered mp3 player, and my girlfriend. Really - books, music, and sex is my description of the perfect day, so that wouldn't be so bad.

I'm sorry to hear about your back. :( I wish I could make it better. Stupid internet! So effective for communication, so ineffective for everything else. Not that I know what I'd do or anything, but I'd do more than type at you if I could.

Thanks, A! I appreciate that. Just use that brain of yours to create an artificial spine and I'd be all set. And in all honesty, I have been through worse. It's just that I am tired of dealing with it.
