I am staring to enjoy making these weekend posts to describe the events of my week. Can't say that you enjoy reading them, but hey, to each their own.

I started the week out with a "wham bam thank you mam" recurrence of the sinus infection I had 5 weeks ago. I am now on three weeks of an ass-kicking (and stomach-wrenching) antibiotic that we hope will do the trick. So, a word of warning: if I appear jaundiced during the next month, it's the drugs this time, not the booze. I am not supposed to be drinking, but I couldn't resist the tasty margaritas at Abuelo's last night which led to my inability to think clearly. I was making comments about Mrs. CB's driving, as I am known to do (she scares me!)

Mrs. CB:(joking) Get out and walk home
Me: (pretending to be incredibly hurt)You want me to get out here? In the dark where I'll get killed? And then hafta walk home?
Mrs. CB: (choking on laughter): It isn't that far. Wait, did you just say "Walk home after you were dead"? I can see it now, "Dead woman walking". I am so busting your ass on LJ.
Me: Oh just drive.

Good times, people, good times.

Mrs. CB was recognized this week as an "OSBA Central Region Outstanding Teacher". She was a nominee for Ohio Teacher of the Year, and while not a finalist for the award, I am very proud that her efforts have been applauded. Now if I could just get her to quit spray-painting big cocks on the school grounds and blaming the school's rivals ;) She arrived at school this morning for tutoring and found that the athletic areas had been vandalized...AGAIN.

Now Mrs. CB is preparing to audition for a production of "Taming of the Shrew" this summer. She hasn't done any theater work in a while and I hope she gets the small part she wants. The director is cross-casting the roles (men's roles played by women and v.v.) so it should be an interesting show.

Four weeks until I see Mrs. CB 2 on Broadway. We are also excited about seeing friends again and maybe visiting a few museums. [livejournal.com profile] charliesmum, I'll send you a private email to see if we can hook up as soon as this latest wave of nausea and fatigue subsides.

Not much else going on. I need to take a nap and then I plan to write the rest of the weekend. Better find a kitty to cuddle with.

Dear Government Assholes-

I am not participating in this year's Daylight Savings Time plan. The benefits simply do not make up for losing an hour from my precious drinking sleeping time. If you really want me to invest in the DST plan you need to set that clock ahead an hour at 4:00 on a Friday afternoon. And buy me a drink.

So, for the next however many months, please keep in mind that I will remain an hour behind the times, and schedule accordingly.

Regards,

CB
