Jan. 4th, 2009
I made some personal resolutions for 2009. I am going to spend less time wallowing in my own little personal bubble and start acting like the social being that I once was. More time with the wife, more time with family, and more time with friends. This means less time on-line, and I think I'll be okay with that ;). I also plan to read more books (picked up 2 yesterday) and see more movies. How these resolutions got my friend to sucker me into seeing My Bloody Valentine 3-D, I'll never know.
I started honoring my resolutions by going to my BFF's house last night for our annual Holiday get together. These two live almost exactly one mile away, yet we hardly see each other. That will change this year. We had snacks, wine and great conversations (mostly about Jett Travolta's death and how the Scientologists played a part), and then it was gift time. We gave them a couple DVD's (one was a documentary about the word "FUCK"), a bottle of wine and the game Wineopoly. More on that later.
Mrs. CB received a beautiful Harlequin figurine from BFF's trip to England this past summer. We also got a computer cleaning kit (5 cats and 3 computers-this is truly needed!), and an electric throw that I can use to warm up instead of turning up the Miser's thermometer past 68 degrees ;). But the most greatest, most unexpectedest gift I received?
( You ain't gonna believe this )
After the gift frenzy, we settled down to play a game of Wineopoly and it was great fun...

especially since I won ;) Mrs. CB is SO in the doghouse for her buy/sell negotiations.
Seriously!
Today is a relaxing day at home. Making some chili, reading a book, playing with the boys, cause who can resist a fat bastard like this one?
