A simple Sunday afternoon

It snowed again yesterday after I specifically asked it to stop for the season. Mother nature is a fucking tease. It was crappy enough that we couldn't go get groceries, so Mrs. CB grabbed a Corona and I grabbed Mr. Pinot and we played "Scene It." I really love that game...especially when I have a buzz going. Even more when the wife is half lit.

Got up today with a mild headache and I completely deserved it. That is what one gets when they have popcorn for dinner.

We hit the store this afternoon and have been watching/listening to basketball. I managed to bang out my first drabble in more than 4 months. I need to start dinner before too long. We are having burritos...yum.

I also finally got around to watching the SciFi mini-series Battlestar Galactica and ya know, I really enjoyed it. And this is coming from a person who watched the original version as a child. The chick that plays Boomer...oh yes, she goes on my "gimme" list.

Games are always a treat with a buzz and a half lit wife. ;) I got dragged into golf (a card game) and some Baker Street something or other game that was rather like clue on steroids. I did good with the Baker street game, but I sucked at cards. Anything that involves chance I'm not very good at. At least not this weekend I wasn't.

I've been seeing bits and pieces of the the new Battlestar Galactica. I really have a soft spot for action/adventure/angst sci-fi. Hate it in fiction, love it on TV. And I approve of the gender changes. I'm waiting to see if there's going to be a possibility of Boomer/Starbuck slash.

The only problem I had was in this one scene I saw where Starbuck says to a group of scrubs, "People call me Starbuck; you can call be God." I laughed out loud. And now, curse you, I want popcorn and pinot!

Yes she did, but only because she can't work the remote control to the DVD player. Therefore, she can't reset the timer when I walk out of the room.
