My Girlfriend's Back
Feb. 23rd, 2005 01:39 pmI liked "Ghost" quite a bit even if I don't think it measured up to "Loss".
-I like the way the title of the ep, "Ghost" not only refers to the killer's nickname, but also the return of eyewitnesses the killer thought he had killed, Alex and Antonio.
-Can I say that the kid playing Antonio Montoya was fucking adorable? I mean "pinch-those-little-cheeks" adorable.
-I liked that a few things were cleared up:
1. Cragen did NOT know that Alex was alive which leads me to believe that Munch and Fin did not know either.
2. Alex said she woke up in the hospital after the shooting and was told, that for all intents and purposes, she was dead. It made me believe that the DEA made the decision to put her in WPP and she really had no choice in the matter.
3. Alex has not become weak in her time away. She has fears, which seem to be reasonable, but she is still her feisty, sarcastic, sexy self. I love her so.
-Where was Warner? And why weren’t Fin and Munch in the last half of the ep? Don’t they deserve to see Alex too?
-Liv and her necklaces. Liv has been wearing “The Necklace” since “Loss” even though it has been hidden be her newest piece. I wish Alex had been wearing hers, but kudos to the continuity wizards as she wasn’t wearing it when she was shot.
-Hotel Room of Hoyay. Anyone else notice just a single bed? I guess we can say that Alex and Olivia have “slept” together and it can now be seen as canon. And we have a smidgeon of Alex in this ep and we get more personal info on her than in three years? Que le fuque?
-Poor Mama Cabot. Hmmm…they didn’t say how she died, did they? Plot bunnies going mad…pay no attention.
-I like the fact that they left Velez alive. And the Irish Hitman too. This means that the case against Velez can continue which means we may see Alex again. Especially if SM gets smart and dumps Asshat’s ass and needs a job( she would be alimony check #3.)
-I wonder if there will be some “Alex” mentions now that everyone knows she is alive.
-I wish Petrovsky had been the presiding judge. It just would have made more sense (considering their love/hate mentor relationship) and I would have loved to have seen Lena’s face when Alex strutted into that courtroom. I bet Petrovsky would have threatened Alex with comtempt for baiting the defendant.
-Poor Casey. Now that she knows Alex is alive, she also knows why Liv keeps rebuffing her advances. Now Casey can move on to Elliot and destroy the O/E fan base.
And my final comment: I liked the ending. It made this ep seem like a continuation of “Loss” and not a one-shot. I see this as part of an “Alex vs. Velez” arc and I think she’ll be back. I hope she’ll be back.

Date: 2005-02-24 01:24 pm (UTC)I could see if she was overweight and enjoyed his cooking, but she doesn't look like she eats his cooking (or any cooking for that matter, except maybe Liv's one tomato). He has a long history and probably blames it all on the X-wives. He just reminds me of an elf, an arrogant red headed elf.
He's friends with David Lee Roth for Goddess sake, I mean come on!!
