Ah, yes...I did hear about this on the news this morning. What an ass. How is it possible that someone of his education and position could still think such things? I think he needs to go back to school (maybe he can have free tuition at Harvard?) to take a Sociology of Gender class. He obviosly missed the lectures on socialization of children and gender roles--per his explanation of his daughter's toy trucks. And, the point was made in the article that he was speacking as a scholar and not a representative of Harvard, but I would argue that someone in his position at the university is never not a representative of the university.
