Columbus, Ohio in 24 hours or less

It's been a very weird, yet newsworthy 24 hours here in Columbus. We apparently have had another string of shootings (following the Highway Sniper of 2003) and a suspect was arrested yesterday afternoon. Mayor COleman has decided to run for Governor and it is possible that he may find himself up against Jerry Springer. Yes, that Jerry Springer. And then one of the Ohio Supreme Court Justices was busted for DUI . (I dated the daughter of an Ohio Supreme Court Justice...it was kinda cool.) I laughed inappropriately when Justice Resnick told the State patrol that she always thought Troopers should be driving the Court members all over Ohio. Probably wasn't the best time to mention that there, Alice.

I also found my "notebook". This contains all the SVU notes I took while researching Teh Essay. It also had the beginning of a filk I wanted to finish. Heh heh...let the earworms commence.

And why does my "contemplative" kitty mood thing look like it's trying to bring up a hairball? I find it disturbing, yet oh so familiar.

Who knew that Columbus was teeming with so much activity, most of it illicit? As a New Yorker, I am quelle impressed.

And why does my "contemplative" kitty mood thing look like it's trying to bring up a hairball?

Our cat has been on a barfing binge lately; twice in one week. I don't know if he's becoming bulimic or something, but it's led me to begin composition of a new song, "Havin' My Hairball" (to the tune of that Paul Anka classique).
